Kim-Marie Clothier - Director

Kim-Marie is Director of North Coast Consulting Ltd. Minerals and Environmental consultancy, and has worked with the firm for five years. Prior to setting up NCC, Kim-Marie worked for WAI for nearly seven years, most recently as a Principal Environmental Scientist. She specialises in Environmental and Social Impact Assessments and Audit of mining projects and has worked extensively in Central Asia, Eastern Europe and Africa. Kim-Marie has been involved with various mine waste and treatment projects for operations across Europe. She has worked in the UK, Macedonia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Portugal, DRC, Republic of Congo, Sierra Leone, Mozambique, Greece, Pakistan and Kazakhstan, providing environmental and social assessment of mining projects as part of ESIA, CPR or due diligence processes. She has also worked on projects for IFIs including EBRD, improving environmental performance and implementing Environmental Management Systems and plans, in accordance with Equator Principles, IFC PSs and EBRD PRs.

She also has extensive experience in the assessment and remediation of contaminated land and has a strong interest in sustainable treatment options for Brownfield sites.

Kim-Marie is a fluent French speaker, having lived and worked in France. She also speaks Italian fluently, and is the President of the Cornish Institute of Engineers (2015-2017).
